Primary Talent Partners has a 12-month contract opening for a Sr. Data Science Engineer with a Fortune 500 Medical Device client located in Minneapolis, MN. Pay for this role is $60 to $70 per hour.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analytics Manufacturing Imaging (AMI) Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming, particularly in Python, and a strong background in working within Agile development environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated software algorithms, leveraging data to drive insights, and enhancing product/system performance through machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and program integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze, and leverage data in product and systems applications.
  • Communicate descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights/algorithms to stakeholders.
  • Utilize machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product/system performance, quality, and accuracy.
  • Translate algorithms and technical specifications into code, ensuring efficient implementation and testing.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software solutions.
  • Apply deep learning technologies to enhance computer vision capabilities in various applications.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to develop computer vision applications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Build and maintain MLOps pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Work with large-scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software development and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong familiarity with Agile development methodologies and structured team environments.
  • Experience developing in AWS, particularly with Sagemaker and other cloud-based services.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps concepts and frameworks, such as Kubeflow, MLFlow, or Comet Client.
  • Deep expertise in deep learning computer vision, including frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
  • Familiarity with Halcon, AWS Lookout for Vision, and video analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to work with large vision models and adapt machine learning to various interactive experiences.
