Summary of Role:
The Fab 9 team, in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Sr. Equipment Engineer. The individual selected for this position will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization with primary responsibilities focused on installation, support, and continuous improvement of 200mm semiconductor equipment.
Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Establish and manage the equipment budget and cost model.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts across equipment, cost and quality.
• Lead long term downs across full module team.
• Define and maintain equipment installation roadmaps - Drive equipment planning, equipment selection and configuration with the area process engineers, including installation, start up and volume ramp of process equipment.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize equipment to meet technology (performance, yield, and reliability) and manufacturing (process stability, cost of ownership) targets.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to lead hands on, tactical troubleshooting efforts to resolve long term performance issues; must be able to deconstruct and understand complex systems.
• Collaborate across career ladders, job roles, experience and functions.
• Support technology transfer to other fabricators.
• Support and actions to achieve module goals and targets.
• Own, establish and drive action on equipment health indicators.
• Ability to combine the equipment and process sides of issues to drive results.
• Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, maintenance team members, engineers and supporting groups.
• Provide equipment support through parts sourcing, qualified changes, line support as needed,
• Utilize FMEA mindset and process.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
• Experience - Minimum 2 years
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Minimum of 10% travel may be required.

• Willing to work off shift/weekend if required due to business needs.
• Willing to travel for business as required.
• Lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift.

Expected Salary Range
$57,700.00 - $133,100.00
