About this position
The Sr. Corporate Affairs Specialist is responsible for bringing the Corporate Affairs strategic plan to life to enhance and protect Plexus' reputation while elevating Plexus Worldwide's unique story. Leverage cross-functional partnerships to support an ambitious Corporate Affairs strategy expanding our license to operate and be recognized among the most reputable and influential direct selling companies. Working with senior leadership to support, develop and execute the strategic plan for Plexus Worldwide for government relations, public policy, and corporate advocacy. This position works with government officials and agencies and develops and maintains strong legislative and meaningful public relationships at the local, state, and federal levels. The Sr. Corporate Affairs Specialist is dedicated to representing Plexus, creating awareness, building relationships. This position also provides strategic management and guidance related to external affairs including employee involvement, the company's corporate social responsibility, environmental/sustainability and communications.

What you'll do

• You will c ollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, aligned, and consistent communications.
• You carry out strategy for charitable and political contributions ensuring they are having high impact.
• You create PR messaging for various audiences and maintain familiarity with organizations that further the company's public policy agenda.
• You serve as the primary liaison with Local, State, Federal governments, working directly with elected and appointed officials and their staff members to build and foster positive relationships on behalf of Plexus.
• You create partnerships and coalitions to advance the organization's goals.
• You monitor and maintain a high degree of awareness of laws, regulations, pending legislation and ballot initiatives, as well as political, economic, and social trends and changes that may affect or potentially impact Plexus.
• You support government relations strategy with other relevant stakeholders and serves as primary liaison between Plexus subject matter experts throughout the legislative process.
• You represent Plexus interests to policymakers, trade associations, and external policy forums, to ensure that Plexus profile is maximized.
• You coordinate institutional use of legislative and policy tracking tools.
• You serve on task forces and committees as requested by General Counsel and the Sr. Director.
• You support senior leadership with technical assistance and access to influencers to support strategic initiatives.
• You monitor local, state-wide, industry, and national publications for issues relevant to Plexus.
• You are an advisor to General Counsel and Sr. Director of Government Relations on public policy issues and develops recommendations for organizational position and strategies related to local, state, and federal legislative and community matters.
• You maximize issues preparedness and crisis management to enhance and protect the reputation of Plexus and elevate our unique story.

You should have

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Communications, or Business
• You have 5+ years experience in public affairs
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
