Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing monthly policy communication and documentation workflow
  • Determining appropriate content distribution channels and related communication strategies
  • Overseeing production, approval, and distribution of materials
  • Leading/coordinating large scale policy documentation projects and corresponding communication plans
  • Developing policy update announcements for internal and external audiences
  • Auditing & editing of policy document formatting prior to publication
  • Posting of policy documentation to the applicable internal and external web portals
  • Working collaboratively with policy authors to ensure content integrity and usability
  • Functioning as a member of a self-directed team to meet specific individual and team performance requirements
  • Managing and maintaining quality and productivity metrics

Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years business writing experience
  • 1+ year workflow management experience
  • Proficient computer skills – MS Office
  • Ability to respond quickly to new instructions, situations, methods, and procedures
  • Must have a designated work space and access to install secure high speed internet via cable/DSL in home

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of UnitedHealthcare’s Medical Policy content, development process, website navigation, and communication/documentation procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous project management experience
  • Technical writing experience
  • Workflow management experience
  • Extremely detail orientated with focus on quality/quality assurance
  • Ability to manage competing demands on time

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
