Naviga has been retained to identify a Sr. Client Accounts Specialist (Billing specialist) to join their team.
Title: Sr. Client Accounts Specialist (Billing specialist)

- Collaborate with support specialists in Legal Support Services and Accounting teams to provide efficient billing and client account services to attorneys
- Manage complex domestic and global billing clients, editing, proofreading, finalizing, and submitting invoices on a monthly billing cycle
- Conduct detailed analysis of client billing data and provide insights to attorneys and support staff
- Provide cohesive billing support solution to attorneys with complex billing books, including training and mentoring other staff members
- Perform various billing cycle duties, including reviewing and editing proformas, seeking approvals for deferrals and write-offs, and handling billing inquiries
- Create and maintain complex monthly reporting, ensuring data accuracy before submission
- Gather and submit accrual information based on client requirements and resolve electronic billing rejections
- Maintain accurate descriptions of client billing requirements and track changes as necessary
- Finalize and submit invoices directly to clients or provide to attorneys for transmission, following client requirements
- Serve as point of escalation for junior Specialists and track and resolve tickets assigned by Accounting Service Desk

Requirements:
- 5 years’ direct billing or Client Accounts experience (to include domestic, global and e-Billing) for a law or professional services organization
- Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as Elite and/or Aderant
- Proficiency in e-billing applications such as eHub or Bill Blast
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and timekeepers
- Team-oriented and have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Accurate proofreader and have strong attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
- Proven analytical skills
- Ability to work independently take direction well
- Experience as a team lead or having responsibility for complex billing is preferred
Education:
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field is preferred
