Job Title: Sr. BSS/OSS Analyst
Report to: Sr. BSS/OSS Systems Manager
Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Location: Central Florida - must be in the Central Florida area
Position Summary:
The BSS/OSS Analyst will work with individual business owners such as Product Management, Channel Marketing, Engineering, Finance and Customer Operations. The BSS/OSS Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex information, developing, sharing, and communicating system recommendations or alternatives to internal customers in a timely manner. The BSS/OSS Analyst will implement and configure above recommendations in the BSS/OSS platforms. The BSS/OSS Analyst will also be responsible for coordinating deliverables related to system enhancements; project requirements gathering and coordination between the various business owners.
Job Description:
- Prepare BSS/OSS development high-level design with all business rules, limitations and assumptions thoroughly documented
- Troubleshoot system issues; develop workarounds and assist in resolving complex system issues that may have a negative impact on revenue and day-to-day operations
- Testing and Delivering BSS/OSS platforms or enhancements according to solution design/requirements, this includes working with the software quality engineers on testing and solution validation.
- Work with Development, Operations and vender teams for the coordination and proactive development of changes to our current system to meet new business needs
- Ensure user acceptance criteria has been agreed upon and documented prior to development
- Document roll-out schedules of new functionalities
- Coordinate communication with internal customers to make them aware and ready for new enhancement installs
- Program custom SQL coding for system data manipulation as well as reporting.
- Work with all internal customers in a proactive manner to identify and elicit each area’s needs and opportunity for change via the enhancement process
- Delivering support to end users in the organization regarding how to use primary applications efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives.
- Assist in backup and recovery for application and all dependencies.
- Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by Management.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, relevant experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in BSS/OSS leading multiple efforts
- Previous experience collaborating with Marketing, Engineering and Sales departments to strategize and organize work for new products
- Proficient in MS SQL , Microsoft certifications preferred.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry strongly preferred
- Ability to analyze user requests
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
- Strong vendor management skills
- Understanding the needs of internal customers and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions
