Sr. Bi Developer, Data And Analytics-Hybrid

You will report to the Supervisor, Data Products and Platform, and can be located in New Mexico, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, or Kansas. This position will be eligible for remote work with some travel for office meetings as needed. You will lead all aspects of the data engineering development lifecycle for enterprise analytics solutions. You will have 5+ years of experience with data modeling, SQL Development, PowerBi, and leading medium to large BI development efforts. Experience with Snowflake preferred or experience with a cloud data warehouse solution. 

What You Will Do

Lead the software development lifecycle for business intelligence solutions, including data modeling, sql development, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance activities in the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack.

Lead medium to large Business Intelligence (BI) development efforts, including creation of technical requirements and design specifications, sql development, unit testing, and deployment of business intelligence solution to achieve the desired business outcome.

Develop conformed dimensions, facts and summary/aggregate table structures for implementation in Enterprise Data Warehouse and in support of PowerBI semantic models.

Complete complex BI development assignments, including integration between multiple source system applications, from documented technical requirements and design specifications.

Complete complex software development assignments, including integration between multiple applications, from documented technical requirements and design specifications.

Develop software solutions that adhere to company coding standings and best practices, are scalable to meet business need, reliable in the production environment, and maintainable by other developers. Interface with Business Analysts and development team to ensure the requirements are understood and being met.

Create unit test and system integration test cases/plans, and execute unit testing and integration testing to ensure software quality and that business requirements are met.

Interface with QA to ensure the application performs as, or better than expected.

Troubleshoot and resolve high priority and/or complex production issues that may require collaboration with IT Infrastructure and/or other IT applications teams to identify root cause and appropriate resolution. Ensure issues are resolved in timely manner to minimize negative impact on the business.

Monitor application production environment to ensure application stability.

Proactively identify potential production risks and provide recommended changes to address the risk before it becomes an issue.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.

What You Will Need

Minimum Bachelor's Degree MIS, computer science, mathematics, other related field Expert level knowledge within a specialized discipline and extensive knowledge of other related disciplines.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL

 Experience developing data models for analytics

 Business Intelligence and Advanced Data Analytics

Training and experience relative to:

• Application architecture
• Data architecture
• Business process modeling
• System/software development lifecycle
• Cloud computing

Experience with software development lifecycle methodology (Waterfall and Agile) and project management concepts.

Demonstrated ability to identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations. Demonstrated ability to research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence.

Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English. Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings. Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.

Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
