The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Senior BI Data Warehouse Developer to join our System Office's Business Intelligence department. We're looking for a developer who is also a skilled communicator. Examples of Duties
The Senior BI Data Warehouse Developer will deploy, populate and manage enterprise Data Warehouses and data marts. You will design reports and dashboards while working with end-users. You will provide Cognos and Data Warehouse training on an individual and a group level to end-users. The person in this position works independently and functions as an effective team member in a variety of projects related to the Data Warehouse creation, maintenance, and reporting.

- Design, implement, and maintain dashboards to support system-wide strategic initiatives.
- Perform complex data analysis.
- Assist in defining application development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to business requirements.
- Conceptualize and develop new reports.
- Create curriculum and lead training sessions on Business Intelligence solutions.
- Train end users to operate new or modified programs.
- Create and maintain video library of training topics in D2L.
- Present and communicate complex data and system information to various groups and individuals in writing and verbally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field from an accredited college or university. An equivalent combination of education and experience, in addition to the experience required below, may be substituted for the degree.
- Three years of experience in a Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse environment as a reporting system architect and developer, including experience with:
- Cognos Report Studio and Framework Manager.
- Developing reports using Oracle PL/SQL; i.e. writing PL/SQL stored procedures and queries for data analysis.
- Using an ETL tool (Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica).
Supplemental Information
Attributes that will contribute to success in this position:
- Practiced in using Ellucian products, especially ODS/EDW.
- Higher Education experience preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience analyzing Financial, HR, Student or Higher Education data is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, triggers and stored procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills, for both internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose/resolve technical problems independently.
- Ability to:
- Work effectively on concurrent, multiple tasks and projects.
- Coordinate, organize and track tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Keep current on technology by identifying, reading and using technical manuals and other resources.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff of varying technical expertise.

- May require occasional in-state travel to system community colleges or out-of-state travel to conferences.
