Sr Backend Developer - Java, Mongo, Aws

TITLE: Senior Backend Developer - Java, Hibernate, AWS, MongoDB

LOCATION: Remote

PAY: Target pay for this role is between $50 and $75 per hour but may vary based on experience

ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract

DURATION: Contract expected to last 7 months, 40 hrs per week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Vetting the backend for the entitlement service, setting up the critical base service.
• More junior than the lead, developing full time.
• On-site work with offshore developers, focusing on backend enhancements.
• Cloud-native experience required, transitioning from on-premises to cloud.
• Not involved in Angular/Front-end development.
• Contractual entitlements will be NoSQL, and provisioned entitlements will be relational databases.
• Working with MongoDB Atlas and integrated search functionalities.
• Everything deployed in containers.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud-native backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Hibernate, AWS, and MongoDB/NoSQL databases.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to act as senior developer contact for offshore development teams
