The Sr. Asset Protection Detective is responsible for the detection, apprehension, and processing of shoplifters, as well as review and processing of paperwork, policies and procedures, and investigation of internal theft issues. Positions require travel to and from various locations within the designated territory.
- Use the Profitect system to detect possible training issues and/or abuse.
- Generate weekly work schedule for all store detectives
- Assist specialists in investigation process, gather evidence, interview following prescribed procedures, and write report s based on facts gathered
- Assist in Shrink Evaluation Process as directed by the AP Specialist
- Assist AP Specialist in set up of new stores prior to openings
- Assist in CCTV design and installation including, walk through with vendor as required by AP Specialist, oversee installation according to specifications, and train store management on system use as directed by AP Specialist
- Train new Asset Protection Detectives and monitor progress
- Review Asset Protection Detective Training program and recommend any needed changes
- Attend inventories deemed necessary by AP Specialist
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- New York State Security Guard license preferred; ability to obtain NYS Security Guard license required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Criminal justice major preferred
- 1-2 years experience in similar capacity preferred
