The Senior Applications Analyst manages, plans, trains and implements HIS applications as directed by the Director of IT Innovation. Efforts include directing, planning, development, installation, problem resolution, maintenance, documentation, operation, and training of these innovative tools. Coordinates and provides direction of the IS methodology process to end users and communicates the status to management. Performs workflow analysis and needs assessment for each project, including current process assessment and new process design. Works collaboratively with IS staff team members and customers/stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a Health Care related field, or Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in the healthcare environment and supporting healthcare related applications and digital solutions, including but not limited to telehealth and mobile applications, patient engagement technologies and technologies related to patient safety and flow. Have awareness and knowledge and can speak to understanding of challenges in the healthcare sector and the impact healthcare technologies can have. Project management experience is required. Experience implementing innovative projects is strongly desired.
Skills: Strong written/oral communication abilities and analytical skills are required. Must also have demonstrated the ability to effectively plan and prioritize, manage projects, and to work independently under minimum supervision.
