This position is responsible for acting as a subject matter expert for all telecommunications, third party transport services, and vendor partners inquiries, reconciling vendor invoices, preparing financial reports, and focusing on identifying areas for cost saving and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with maintaining telecommunication accounting records, documents, and databases. Runs, analyzes, and develops reports to show vendor cost and customer activity. Produces ad-hoc reporting to provide required information as needed. Assists management with resolving inquires concerning charges to their budget area. Prepares monthly and annual financial reports.
- Analyzes vendor invoices to ensure accuracy. Accurately prepares GL coding files to submit for timely invoice payments. Accurately maintains vendor billing and payment history. Scans vendor invoices into established imaging systems. Reconciles customer premise connection charges to Mastermind and contract recurring lines. Verifies and updates mastermind information. Exhibits extensive knowledge of billing and customer database systems.
- Creates and supports inter-department workflows for telecom services and supports on-going projects to refine process across business. Assists with training and mentoring new team members.
- Maintains an outstanding working relationship with vendors. Acts as liaison between business and vendors. Is available for afterhours calls related to this function as required to support field ops. Creates and responds to written business correspondence with vendors and agencies as required. Exhibits proficiency in vendor web portals and assists internal users with vendor web access.
- Assists acquisition teams by reviewing data, serving as a liaison to vendor contacts and pulling customer data from telecom vendor sites. Assists product teams in onboarding new vendors and ensuring vendor is aware of billing requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in security or telecommunications
Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:
- 2 year degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year in an analytical position
Additional Skills and Certifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, Access, Teams, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Google Big Query - preferred
- Experienced with Mastermind, Ariba and Oracle - preferred
- Familiarity with telecom vendor websites (Alarmnet, Alarm.com, Wyless/Bosch Brivo)
- Must be able to work with little supervision, be team player, self-motivated, analytical, and well-organized
The salary range for this role is $52,921 -$105,842 and is based on experience and qualifications. Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
