Sol-Millennium is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to Manage North and Central American accounting activities including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal control, SOX compliance, internal & external audits, and tax studies. Additionally, adaptability and a commitment to improving processes are essential to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Finance department leadership to develop and implement effective financial and accounting goals and strategies for North & Central America (NACA) region
- Accurately and timely prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports
- Lead the standardization and improvement of accounting processes, policies, procedures, internal controls, and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department globally
- Collaborate across functions including to recommend solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement projects to increase productivity and automation
- Help implement a strong risk identification and mitigation process
- Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all federal, state, and local accounting, finance, taxation, and legal requirements
- Effectively communicate financial results and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders
- Support and collaborate with department heads to create and review departmental budgets
- Lead the financial planning, analysis and budgeting activities for the region.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 7+ years of experience in managing the finance and/or accounting function
- CPA or CMA highly preferred
- Proficiency with standard ERPs
- Proven record of effective communication and relationship building
- Advance knowledge in Excel
- Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment with an ability to prioritize
- Highly organized and accountable to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with using SAP as an ERP Personnel management experience
