Who YOU Are:
As the Senior Accountant, you will operate full cycle. You will be responsible for reviewing and performing general bookkeeping, maintaining, and creating financial reports as needed. In addition, you will prepare/analyze budgets and financial statements. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for supervising the Accounting staff and any contractors working on short- and long-term engagements.
The Senior Accountant must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and have solid communication abilities. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Strong technology skills are critical, particularly an expertise with Microsoft Excel.
This role will have a high level of visibility across the organization and will require collaboration with leaders from multiple departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Independently uses accounting experience and acumen to analyze and interpret data and or underlying
· Process & Review monthly invoices to all customers to ensure accuracy
· Prepare month-end reports for senior leaders and CFO
· Manage contract tracker and commission payouts
· Oversee Nationwide Payroll Process, including maintaining State Unemployment Insurance Registration and maintaining State Business Licenses
· Process employee (hourly and salary) and contractor payouts; including Salary, Bonus and Commission Payouts
· Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. This includes independently researching and documenting reconciling items and other variances from expectations for general ledger balances and, if applicable, making any correcting journal entries
· Create and prepare weekly/quarterly performance reporting for Regional Management Oversight
· Contribute to the development of accounting procedures by reviewing current processes and making recommendations for process improvements and best practices to improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness
· Monitor Individual performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, adherence to deadlines and service standards are met, taking corrective actions when required or properly communicating roadblocks or delays to management
· Indirectly oversee Jr. Accounting Team by providing coaching and counseling as needed
· Assist and drive year-end audit requests and support
· Assist CFO in building monthly forecasts
· Assist CFO in building annual budget
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· 5-7 years accounting experience
· Intermediate to Expert level computer skills a must with knowledge of Microsoft applications
· Knowledge of QuickBooks with ability to build ad-hoc reports
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Strong communication skills- verbal and written
· Strong attention to detail
· Demonstrate a sense of understanding and urgency for priorities
· Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently
· Be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
· Effective interpersonal skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment

Compensation Details:
**Base compensation range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
