Sprout is seeking an experienced, self-disciplined, and highly organized professional to support our fast-growing ITAD organization with facilities in North Carolina, California, Massachusetts, and Texas. This role is for someone who is eager to take on challenges and drive process improvements within a high-growth organization.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Monitor and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Develop and implement processes to streamline and improve general ledger accounting procedures.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements to support strategic financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate and support external audits & annual tax return preparation by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Implement recommendations from auditors to improve internal controls and financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
- Assist in pricing of jobs within ERP system
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, analysis, and general ledger management and/or minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting at Big 4 or large regional accounting firm.
- Strong understand of US GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Solid Excel & analytic skills
- Experience working with systems and driving improvements and automation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
