Role Summary:
As a member of the Health Plan Operations team, the SQL Data and Operations Analyst will lead efforts to identify trends, operational anomalies, and turn information into action. This position will mentor other business analysts on technical and SQL skills and receive mentoring on business subject matter. This person will also work closely with Centauri executives, clients, Subject Matter Experts, and the cross-functional product team to identify reporting needs and implement timely solutions. The Analyst will need to be flexible and patient, as well as able to cope with a fast-paced environment and the ambiguity that is often a part of working in the Healthcare Industry.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SQL Stored Procedures and scripts for reporting and analytics and coach other business analysts on development of SQL capability
- Investigate operational issues, interrogate information systems to support root cause analyses and advise executive team members on performance trends.
- Write and maintain technical documentation based on business requirements
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Communicate results and products to end users/customers
- Analyze Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial/HIX client information in support of special
- projects and specific requests
- 4+ years of experience in writing complex SQL Stored Procedures in MS SQL Server
- 5+ years healthcare operations analysis experience in provider or payer environment / insurance companies
- SQL programming skills, the ability to develop, troubleshoot and maintain efficient SQL queries
- Healthcare knowledge is required. Medicare and Medicaid knowledge is a strong plus.
- Risk Adjustment knowledge is strongly preferred.
- HEDIS knowledge and experience is a definite plus.
