This job is eligible for a hybrid schedule with some on-site work expected.

This position is part of the Bank's Internship/ Co-op Program which is offered to students who are currently enrolled in graduate and undergraduate studies. This Program identifies talented and qualified candidates who could potentially fill professional job openings in the Bank. Overview of Team/ Function:

The Supervision, Regulation and Credit Department of the FRBB has an opening for a co-op within the Large Institution Supervisory Coordinating Committee (LISCC) Interest Rate Risk (IRR) & Securities team supporting the Capital Program. Members of the IRR & Securities team work to assess firms’ interest rate risk management, securities risk management, and stress testing.

  • Analyze regulatory, financial, and IRR specific data and evaluate trends
  • Review firm MIS and supervisory conclusions to ascertain risk levels and controls
  • Develop an IRR and Securities profile for each LISCC firm
  • Develop a deposit range of practice document including composition, forecasts, and strategies
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis related to interest rate risk send securities topics
  • Participate in training opportunities on interest rate risk and securities topics

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
  • Relevant coursework in public policy, statistics, accounting, finance, or economics 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics, produce sound analysis and recommend a path toward achieving team objectives;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral presentation
  • Ability to thrive as a member of a team and to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues across teams and at different levels.
  • Tableau or coding skills including past use of statistical/modeling software is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office products: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
