This position supports Attorneys in multiple legal program areas, including but not limited to Criminal Records, Criminal Defense, Emerging Adults, Civil Programs and Pro Bono. In addition, the Intern will assist with screening of new applications for legal assistance, interviews, juvenile and criminal records research, maintaining administrative records, and fact-finding. Intern will work in tandem with Attorneys, Social Workers and other staff on a variety of tasks including assisting with case management, drafting legal pleadings, preparing client correspondence, maintaining files, and providing assistance at court hearings. Intern will also assist attorneys at virtual weekly Expungement Court Call, work with Paralegals to lead and organize Case Acceptance Meetings and advocate for potential clients, and work with legal case management software and legal research tools such as Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.

- Ademonstratedcommitment to social justice anddisrupting the systemic racism perpetuated by our criminal legal system.
- At leastone semester/quarter of law school completed.

None.
Required Hours
Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, 16-20 hours per week for 10 weeks.
Working Conditions
- Remote work is performed virtually at the intern's home or approved "off-site" work location.
- If working in the office, you must be able to work in an open office setting with moderate noise levelsand follow all COVID-19 safety protocols.
