Job Description
The pay for the starting position is $15-$19 per hour, depending on industrial paint experience. Evaluations are performed after the first 90 days and then annually.
- Ability to read and write and communicate verbally.
- Must pass respirator physical annually and be respirator trained.
- No facial hair which would interfere with wearing respirator.
- Ability to daily wear, clean, and store respirator equipment.
- Wear proper safety equipment such as Tyvek coveralls, respirators, hats, gloves, and steel toed safety shoes.
- Lifting and walking with approximately 75 pounds.
- Able to understand and comply with OSHA training and standards.
- Able to climb in and out of tall steel containers, compactors, and other items. Climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairways.
- Physical ability to work with and in the presence of paints, lacquer, and similar chemicals.
- Able to follow directions and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to handle all tasks associated with final preparation prior to shipment.
- Mix paints, enamels, or lacquers to specified colors, consistencies, and viscosities for spraying or brushing. Prepare surfaces and apply a wide variety of coatings to obtain high grade finish on products.
- Assist in clean-up of painting area, using scrapers and other cleaning materials.
- Spray or brush paint as instructed and/or according to specifications.
- Use proper safety equipment including gloves, suits, safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toed safety shoes Availability to work required shifts and hours.
- Prepare containers for painting.
- Able to handle all tasks associated with final preparation prior to shipment.
- Loan/Unload trucks.
- Spray Painting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Warehouse or Shop: 1 year (Preferred)
- Forklift Operator: 1 year (Preferred)
