Work schedule:20-30 hours per week (May thru September); must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:

As a Spray Ground Attendant-Keeley Parkthe following tasks are dependent upon facility location and are usual, however, other duties may be required and assigned:

  • Supervise the Spray Ground and surrounding park facility and patrons
  • Ensure the safety of all patrons and staff by closely monitoring the facility and users at all times; this includes actively standing and walking around the Spray Ground throughout each shift
  • Inspect Spray Ground and facilities for repair and maintenance needs and informing management of any issues
  • Understand, explain, and enforce Spray Ground rules
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
  • Monitor and maintain Spray Ground pump system, filters, an proper chemical levels
  • Maintain accurate records such as chemical logs, attendance numbers, and accounting documents
  • Clean park facilities and buildings to primarily include Spray Ground area, restrooms, offices, and parking lots
  • Perform custodial tasks such as disinfecting sinks and toilets, sweeping, moping, trash and litter removal, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining an overall clean environment for patrons and staff; cleaning duties at additional park areas such as shelters and the park office may be required
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
  • Report suspicious activities to supervisory staff or law enforcement personnel
  • Varying work schedule and flexibility; early morning, weekends and holiday work will be required
  • Collect user fees and maintain an accurate receipt book and change fund

As a Spray Ground Attendant, the work requires the staff to maintain physical conditions for walking, kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time and requires climbing, stooping, crawling, lifting, and carrying moderated to heavy materials. Must be able to comprehend, follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to read comprehensively, do simple arithmetic and complete written reports.

The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License "OR" reliable means of transportation

An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Customer Service experience
  • Janitorial/Custodial experience
  • Pool, Spa or Spray Ground experience
  • National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) or state-approved Certified
  • Pool Operator (CPO) certification
  • American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Experience with online staff scheduling programs
  • Bilingual
