Job Overview:
Take on a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of our Sports Summer Camp as the Operations Manager. As a detail-oriented and strategic professional, you will be responsible for overseeing logistical aspects, coordinating resources, and optimizing processes to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable camp environment for both campers and staff.
Responsibilities:
Logistical Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of the camp, including scheduling, transportation, equipment procurement, and facility management.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of necessary supplies.
Staff Coordination:
- Collaborate with the camp manager and department heads to coordinate staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all activities.
- Oversee staff logistics, such as transportation and accommodation if applicable. Resource Management:
- Efficiently allocate and manage camp resources, including equipment, facilities, and materials.
- Implement systems for tracking and maintaining inventory throughout the camp. Safety and Compliance:
- Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate with health and safety personnel to conduct regular drills and training for staff.
Emergency Response:
- Establish and communicate emergency procedures to staff and ensure that necessary protocols are in place.
- Serve as a point of contact during emergencies and coordinate with appropriate authorities.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular assessments of Camp Operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process enhancements to streamline operations and enhance the overall camp experience.
Communication with Stakeholders:
- Maintain open communication channels with staff, parents, and vendors.
- Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years in sports operations management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a camp or outdoor recreation setting.
Leadership and Organizational Skills:
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to oversee and coordinate multiple aspects of Camp Operations.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. Communication Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to a diverse audience. Problem-Solving:
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
