Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Anchor live updates on both stations for several hours
- Prepare for and host pre and post-game coverage for Detroit sports teams and other teams as needed
- Gather, write, record, edit and deliver content from the studio or at sporting events.
- Write scripts and ad-lib material for stories.
- Develop and research potential news stories.
- Conduct other duties as required by management.
Qualifications

Required & Preferred:
- Must be proficient with various computer programs and news systems and have the ability to fully utilize all the tools of broadcast and social media in the field (Twitter, Facebook, live and recorded video and audio equipment, etc.)
- Position requires proficiency or aptitude in editing and packaging news and sports sound and interviews.
- Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery.
- Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential.
Preferred:
- 4 year degree in journalism preferred but not required
- 1+ years anchoring or reporting news for broadcast media and possess excellent writing skills.
