Sport Associate Soccer Referee

Job Overview:

Officiating as a referee in our leagues and tournaments, as well as acting as a point of contact with City-Sofive customers on the fields and providing quality and outstanding service to all players.

As a Sport Associate Soccer Referee, your primary responsibility is to ensure a fair and safe play environment during soccer games. You will officiate games at various levels, enforcing the rules and making decisions on fouls, penalties, and goals. You will work closely with coaches, players, and other officials to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Attend all scheduled games and arrive on time- Enforce the rules of the game and make appropriate calls- Manage game pace and ensure balance between safety and competitiveness- Communicate clearly and respectfully with coaches, players, and other officials- Keep accurate and complete records of game scores, fouls, and player participation- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times- Attend training sessions and certification courses as required- Perform other duties as assigned by their Manager.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations- Understanding of game management and conflict resolution- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coaches, players, and other officials- Ability to make confident and impartial decisions under pressure- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills- Availability to work evenings and weekends

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent- Previous experience as a Soccer Referee preferred- Certification as a referee through U.S. Soccer or other governing body preferred

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time- Ability to see and hear clearly in order to make accurate calls- Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed
