Position SummaryTake the ISC2 Vendor Sponsorship program in UK & Europe to the next level. The objective of this role is to drive new business throughout the North America region. You will use your sales skills to expand and grow sales of our current portfolio of products and services. You will utilize your industry and regional knowledge to build and grow relationships with new and local vendors. This is a revenue generating position. The position requires you to work in sync with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to sales and event teams, to sell sponsorships for the items listed in the summary below.
This person will be responsible for growing new business accounts in the region in the vendor sponsorships area which include: exhibit and sponsorship packages for Security Congress, regional events, webinars in the North America, and other vendor packages, some of which may be tied to member benefits. The position will report to the Vendor Sponsorship Manager. This position is remote working.
Responsibilities- Prospect, sell, and execute new business account management activities that align with the overall strategy of our sponsorship portfolio and meet aggressive revenue goals in the North America.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with prospects and customers that will close the deal and manage tasks to help ensure contract renewal and new business.
- Maintain strategic relationships with leading cybersecurity organizations, education providers, and other vendors that could be a good fit for our events and webinars in the North America region.
- Prepare and deliver reports on a monthly basis of goals, pipeline and opportunities to maximize vendor sponsorships.
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising customer awareness and understanding of our entire portfolio of ISC2 products and services on top of our sponsorship portfolio.
- Assist the global events, marketing, and communications teams with execution of trade shows, and provide onsite support as needed. This includes both shows organized by ISC2 as well as industry events.
- Work with internal team members to ensure effective and efficient communications between ISC2 and our customers
- Work with the North American Coordinator to ensure client needs are managed, from close of sale to end product and deliverables
- Work closely with North American Event Producer to ensure a successful transition between contracting and the execution/delivery of sponsored webinars and events.
- Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree preferred; will consider relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proactive, self motivated with a "hunter" mentality.
- Previous experience in quota bearing role of $1M+ and having consistently exceeded sales quotas required.
- 3-5 years of successful account management. Prior experience within the cybersecurity/IT vendor and sponsorship community a plus. Knowledge of cybersecurity certification and training market useful.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Sales Force.
- Knowledge of the events industry, in particular B2B TradeShows helpful
