(Contingent upon available funding): 38,040.00 - 60,600.00, Salary Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) supports the grant-related activities of faculty in the arts and humanities, social sciences, and sciences. This position is part of a team that provides support for the grant-related activities of CAS faculty. The selected individual will develop expertise to support faculty from a subset of departments. The main duties will include 1) prepare and review proposal budgets and grant proposal materials for submission to federal, state, and private agencies for external funding, and 2) negotiate awards, manage grant accounts, and prepare financial reports. Required Qualifications:
Four years of experience inSponsored Programs administration or another closely related field; or aBachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Management, Research Administration,or related fields. Knowledge obtained by acombination of specialized training and experience is desired. Demonstratedproficiency in time management, task prioritization, problem solving, andeffective communication (written and oral) Ability to work independently and asa member of a team Excellent organizational and record keeping skills withattention to detail Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe AcrobatDemonstrated interest/ability to learn new programs and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors and ten years of experience inSponsored Programs administration or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting,Management, Research Administration, or related fields and six or more years ofexperience in Sponsored Programs administration Ten years of experience inSponsored Programs administration is needed to qualify for salary near theupper end of the pay scale.
Membership and active participation inprofessional organizations such as the National Council of University ResearchAdministrators (NCURA), Society of Research Administrators International (SRA),or National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP)Professional certification in grants, contracts, or research administration(i.e., Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award ResearchAdministrator (CPRA), Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA))
