Security Clearance Requirement: Current TS/SCI + poly
Location Note: Minimum 3 days/week on-site, preference for 5 days/week on-site
Position Description:
- Work as part of a collaborative government and contractor team to build and operate the Advana DoD data analytics environment
- With with other cloud and platform engineers specializing in AWS to design, define/develop, test, and debug cloud infrastructure and solution components
- Support DevOps framework to build and manage container apps using products such as Kubernetes
- Partner with teammates and stakeholders to develop technical solutions
- Other duties as assigned

- Current security clearance at the TS/SCI level with polygraph
- Minimum current TS/SCI and ability to obtain CI poly is required for consideration
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred; equivalent years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 6+ years of related work experience supporting mid-senior level computer systems analysis
- 2+ years of engineering experience working with Splunk Enterprise at a minimum
- 1+ year of overall experience with Linux/Windows OS system administration
- 1+ year of experience with drafting architectural and infrastructural diagrams
- Proven ability to support independent and collaborative work tasks with minimal supervision is a must
- Experience with Search Processing Language and the basics of writing Reports, Alerts, and Dashboards
- Experience with management of infrastructure components (e.g., Indexers/Index Clusters, Search Heads, Universal Forwarders)
- Experience and capability in ingesting and indexing new data sources
- Familiarity with app folders, editing configuration files (e.g., inputs.conf, props.conf), and resolving common configuration issues on both the GUI and terminal.
- Proficiency working with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and/or other ticket tracking software
- Ability to work closely with scrum teams and provide update/presentations on progress
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment
- Availability to work on-site a minimum of 3 days/week is required
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, User Behavior Analytics, and other security analytics tools
- Ability to use automation tools and Infrastructure-as-code to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting
- Experience with writing scripts and glue to tie together services, functionalities, and tools using technologies, including Python, Bash, Boto3, JSON, and YML and XML templates
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with additional tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
- Possession of excellent time management skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical engineering field
- Coursework and/or certification in one of more of these areas: Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect Certification, Splunk User Behavior Analytics, Splunk Enterprise Security
