Summary/Objective
The Bartender will deliver food and beverage orders to guests according to Carriqui specifications and standards, courteously and efficiently. They will assist in the maintenance of the bar/ restaurant areas and equipment as well as be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient billing of guest charges and maintaining bar stocks and par levels.
Essential Functions
- Maintain complete knowledge and descriptions of:
- all menu items, alcohol brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on our list.
- maintenance and use of equipment, designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink.
- state liquor regulations
- Responsible for the set-up, maintenance (stocking & cleaning), and operation of the bar, including making liquor drinks and serving guests in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Ensure that bank is always secure.
- Complete opening and closing duties
- Input orders into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by kitchen.
- Prepare all drink orders for guests according to Carriqui trained recipes.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar top, tables, service areas and outlet itself.
- Direct and assist Barbacks and Cocktail Servers in their job functions to ensure smooth and efficient service to guests.
- Make safety concerns a priority. Any spills, broken glass, or other unsafe conditions must take priority over other duties.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum (2) two years of previous experience in a high-volume environment.
- Previous bartending experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain food handler certification and TABC certification.
- At least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and working of 8 hours or more.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
