What is a Home Health Speech Therapist?

A Home Health Care Speech Therapist administers speech therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence.

What does a Home Health Speech Therapist do?

A Home Health Care Speech Therapist provides a thorough assessment of the patient's condition and works with the individual and their caregivers to build a goals-focused treatment plan. This is performed following the physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager.

What are the qualifications for a Home Health Speech Therapist?

• Currently licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state(s) in which practicing
• Two (2) years of experience, preferred

Do you need home health care experience to be a Home Health Physical Therapist?

Previous home health experience is not required, but it is preferred. Ask us about our mentorship program, where you will gain experiential training under the supervision of an enthusiastic role model.

Do Home Health Speech Therapists work alone?

Home Health Speech Therapists are autonomous, but they are not alone. Along with exceptionally supportive clinical supervisors, Home Health Speech Therapists are also a vital part of the collaborative clinical team.
