Job Summary:
- We are partnering with a well-respected School District in Spanaway, WA that is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Licensed School Psychologist for a contract position. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment and work in a fast-paced setting. The client is seeking a candidate available for full time hours. They would prefer someone with previous School, Early Childhood, or Pediatric Experience. The schedule will be 7 Hour Days Monday through Friday. This is an immediate need and the client is actively interviewing. - Valid OKstate SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP).
- One year of experience with swallowing disorders OR extensive dysphagia management experience within internship/externship program.
- Must have training and knowledge in prevention; screening, evaluation, and assessment; planning, implementing, and monitoring intervention; consultation with and education for team members, including families and other professional; service coordination; transition planning; advocacy, awareness and advancement of the knowledge base in early intervention, to treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Must work with people in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner.
- Must be able to remain pleasant and patient, and have good communication skills.
- Highly organized while working and maintains a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate effective time management skills while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer proficiency required.
- SNF Experience preferred
- New Grad are okay.
- Graduate of a school of speech/language pathology (MS or MA).
