Qualifications
Master's degree in communicative disorders. No prior experience required.
State of Iowa licensure or temporary clinical license; Certification by the American Speech-Hearing Association preferred. Mandatory Reporter. BLS. FIM. Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (required if working in Speech Therapy or Contract Therapy).
High language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability. Personal computer. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to attend patients off-site in a timely manner. Ability to be flexible. Strong problem solving skills. Good judgment and insight. Ability to communicate effectively with treatment team, supervisors, peers, patients and families.
Position Summary
Provides Speech Therapy evaluations and treatments to appropriate patients to facilitate their return to prior level of functioning as prescribed by physician.
