Job Description
- Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans and interventions to improve students' communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies and accommodations to support students’ speech and language needs
- Providing feedback and recommendations to parents and teachers about the results of the assessments
- Collaborating with other members of the education team, including teachers, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of assessments
- Keeping up-to-date with best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech and language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas state license speech-language pathology
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification
- Experience working in school settings is preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
