Job Description
The mission at The Grove At Latrobe (our rehabiliation team) is to promote health and wellness for residents. They provide preventative and restorative health services to improve the quality of life of all they serve. This position directly oversees all aspects of speech and language pathology, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation and ongoing review, so strong professional competency is essential. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Screening new clients/residents, evaluating and interpreting data and determining relevant treatment plans
- Setting integrated goals in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members, then documenting progress and successes
- Reevaluating care plans based on new and emergent conditions, as well as resident progress
- Responding to individualized requests and making referrals, as needed
- Developing in-home therapies and training family or caregivers, as needed
- Overseeing SLP assistants and serving as a Clinical Instructor for affiliates/students
Because of our multidisciplinary approach, all candidates must be able to thrive in team environments. An active state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence from an American Speech Language/Hearing Association-approved institution.
- Valid Pennsylvania state license in SLP
- Masters Degree preferred
- Long Term Care experience
