Position Summary:
Provide assessment and treatment of the audition, speech, and language skills of children with hearing loss. The SLP will be required to develop and implement treatment plans while providing parent-centered, auditory-based therapy.
Major Responsibilities:
• Perform patient evaluations andinterpret results
• Provide evidenced-based treatment basedon the assessment results and prescribed plan of care
• Administer speech and language screenings
• Mentor assigned students,SLP-Assistants and CFYs (if applicable)
• Build a strong referral network withinthe greater Houston area
• Participate in staff developmentprograms
• Prepareand participate in lectures as assigned to the local and professional community
• Participatein an annual review and mutual goal planning for professional development andperformance
• Practicein accordance with the ASHA and AG Bell Academy for Listening and SpokenLanguage Code of Ethics

Education and Experience Requirements:
Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathologyrequired
1-3 years of professional speech-language pathology experience withpediatrics preferred

Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratewith other professionals
Travel:
Must be able to travel to attend conferences, training and other events as required to acquire and maintain proficiency in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.

Physical Demands:
