Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their ability to communicate effectively and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their speech, language, and swallowing abilities - Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals - Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care - Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Skills: - Strong knowledge of critical care procedures and practices - Experience in case management and coordinating care for patients with complex needs - In-depth understanding of human physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing functions - Proficient in conducting thorough patient assessments using standardized tools and techniques - Ability to provide evidence-based treatment interventions for speech, language, and swallowing disorders - Familiarity with medical terminology commonly used in healthcare settings - Experience working with patients in intensive care units (ICU) is preferred - Knowledge of speech therapy techniques for pediatric patients is a plus - Solid understanding of human anatomy as it relates to speech production If you are a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with communication disorders, we would love to hear from you.
