Specimen Processing Technician
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities include preparation of clinical specimens for diagnostic assays, including DNA Isolation, Aliquoting, performance of CLIA-Waived pre-analytic testing in a high-throughput clinical laboratory setting. This position also includes performance of general laboratory maintenance tasks, including reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, inventory tracking, and other tasks as needed.
Minimum Education/Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree NOT required.
- High school diploma/Associates preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.
- Must be computer proficient
- Must be willing to work independently and in a Team environment
Job Duties:
- Perform sample aliquots.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Utilize LIMS for sample tracking, testing, and result entry.
- Operate and perform maintenance on various laboratory equipment. Troubleshoot instrumentation failure when required.
- Maintain all reagents, temperature logs, and proper documentation of test samples.
- HIPPA and OSHA compliance

Shift: Mon-Fri 10:30 am – 7:00 pm
