Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist - Full-Time

 

Fast-paced, high energy Lab department is looking for a top skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist.  Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231

Work hours: Fulltime, Monday - Friday; 6:00a-2:30p

Here's What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred
  • Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program required
  • Two years' experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred
  • Licensed MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 90 Days required or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist 90 Days required or other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire required or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology Upon Hire required or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank Upon Hire required

 

What You Will Do

  • Supervise personnel of 11 Clinical Laboratory Leads to manage performance, complete audits, and monitor completion of assignments - provide coverage on days when staffing is below minimum
  • Serve as a technical expert to educate staff, respond to nursing requests, and collaborate with other departments and teams regarding collections
  • Manage Specimen Management operations, including collection accuracy, appropriate resources, and reducing inventory costs
