Our Research Department is seeking a Specimen Coordinator to join our team! Coordinate all human specimen procurement program activities conducted at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center ensuring protocol and regulatory compliance and appropriate transport preparation.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinates all department activities for the human specimens procurement program such as ensuring all necessary
    supplies and resources to acquire and transport specimens are available in the environment.
  • Provides internal and external customer education including in services regarding program. Also functions as liaison with
    physicians, staff, academic environment, sponsors and cooperative centers.
  • Acquires all appropriate data, consents, and other required information by ensuring transfers to secure database and
    maintaining appropriate CRF files for source review.
  • Participates on protocol review committee while ensuring compliance with all protocol and regulatory requirements as
    well as ensures compliance with internal policies governing the conduct of human tissue acquisition and research.
  • Coordinates all facets of human specimen procurement activities by coordinating patient consents, specimen acquisitions
    and transport preparations conducted.

Two years experience in clinical research environment.


Education
Bachelor's degree In biological or health care related field.
Masters preferred.


Licensure
CCRC preferred.
