Work Hours: various daylight shifts, rotating weekends and work at other satellites as needed.
The Specialty Tech is responsible for performing radiologic procedures, EKG, phlebotomy and registration to include clerical functions at a high diagnostic quality, performed in an efficient and productive manner, while providing a high level of patient care. The Specialty Tech must have an understanding of and be able to effectively utilize all required applications of RIS and PACS. The Specialty Tech must perform at a level of competence that does not require constant supervision of technical detail. The Specialty Tech must have an understanding of technical equipment, protocols, and procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Demonstrates professionalism, works compatibly and communicates effectively with radiologists, technologists, and students. Must have the ability and poise to deal with multiple types of situations and must be flexible and adaptable to change.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school and have achieved ARRT certification in Radiology.
- Registration functionality
- Phlebotomy in an outpatient setting
- EKG's in an outpatient setting
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred:
- Experience performing bone density studies and ISCD Certification.
- Ohio Radiologic License
