Greets every guest in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner, as well as thanks guests as they are leaving the restaurant. Follows all Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Manage reservation system to retain guest preferences, pre-assigning seating when necessary and recording reservations
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest
- Escort guests to the tables and assist in seating at tables, present menus and extend pleasantries
- Offer a cordial farewell to every guest, thanking them for dining and invite them back
- Communicates constantly with management and service staff to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain positive relations with guests at all times
- Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities, in-house groups, daily house count, table/ seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code
- Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently
- Speak to guests' and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
- Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
- Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs with minimal amount of disturbance to other guests
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
- Notify management of maintenance repair issues
- Performs all other job-related duties as request
- Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
- Able to work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a restaurant in a fast-paced environment, with constant exposure to public and excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
