Role Summary
As an Account Executive, you will execute business plans that meet or exceed financial objectives by developing collaborative customer partnerships and by selling with excellence. You will also deliver competitive advantage by driving Ulta@Target category growth, while setting up P&G Specialty Beauty brands to disproportionately win in this segment of Target’s business. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to:
Ensure excellence in sales fundamentals – improving and/or ensuring strategic alignment across distribution, pricing shelving, and merchandising (DPSM) - across select Specialty Beauty Brands OUAI, Tula, and First Aid Beauty.
Develop productive working relationships with key customer contact(s), crafting joint plans that are win-win for P&G’s specialty brands and Ulta@Target.
Work with the customer to launch new P&G Specialty brands within Ulta@Target
Leverage analytical tools and integrate various data systems to develop and to share Specialty category and P&G Specialty brand insights.
This role will report to Specialty Beauty Sales Sr. Director Eric Admiraal and be co-located with our Target customer team in Minneapolis, MN.
Detailed Success Measures
Relentless focus on DPSM as follows:
Strengthen in-stock position with help of a multi-functional team and with commitment and effort from Target
Maximize merchandising within the Ulta@Target space for each brand
Marketing within the Target ecosystem
Clear understanding of Target marketing capabilities
Test and learning how we reach more Target new users leveraging 1st party data
Create (and execute) a marketing plan by brand and working the details back to each Specialty brand team
Manage join business planning planning connects and day-to-day connections with buyers and merchants with Ulta and Target
Set-up and lead JBP connects with a jointly agreed scorecard
Day-to-day connection for our merchants
Establish strong linkages with the Target team (in Minneapolis), Ulta, as well as the Specialty Beauty sales leaders
In touch with Specialty Beauty sales priorities (i.e. core innovation, spending priorities)
Leverage P&G Target scale opportunities to find ways to elevate our brands at Target
Thoroughly understand the Ulta@Target shopper and share insights with the Specialty Beauty Team
Who is she and how do we communicate with her (with the intent to get her to buy/upsell etc..)
Share insights with Ulta/Target to help strategically understand how to grow both Ulta and Target
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of selling or business development experience, be highly motivated and results-oriented, and be very comfortable drawing insights from customer data analytics. You must have the capability to lead change and solve complex problems with critical thinking. We’ll help you activate these skills to win in the market by providing a strong foundation in navigating P&G, Beauty and our customer relationships.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications Preferred:
3+ years’ experience working with Ulta and/or Target
Trade fund management experience
Customer data analytics experience
Joint business planning experience
Qualifications Required:
3+ years relevant Beauty sales or customer business development experience
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel on the job
Willing to immediately relocate to Minneapolis, MN and invest 3-4 working days in office
Strategic customer relationship building skills
Demonstrated ability to lead change and navigate ambiguity; demonstrates high learning agility
