Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS
Conduct technical training for new hire technicians. These would include (but not limited to) introductions to pneumatics, sensors, alignments, and troubleshooting.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop training plans for new hires
  • Coordinate schedules with training attendees
  • Attend training sessions to gather and disseminate updated practices and information
  • Partner with subject matter experts to further refine system and process knowledge
  • Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, tableau, etc.
  • Utilize IPN resources where necessary

INTERACTION
This position interacts with Operators, Operational Technicians, Special Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and Leadership

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
• Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
• Demonstrates self-initiative
• Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing assembly or machining
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
• Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
• Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
• Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
• Must have strong production/maintenance background
• Must have mechanical and electrical background
• Expected to support production by assisting subject matter experts and identifying training needs
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to clearly communicate to large audiences
• Passion for training technical skills. Be able to perform repetitive training for newly hired associates
• Be able to frequently interact with shopfloor leadership
• Develop hands on training for new and existing technology
• Find creative solutions to improve OEE through innovative training practices
