Your New Role...

This position is part of a high functioning global team responsible for localizing and distributing Warner Bros. theatrical features content, covering content for some of the biggest franchises in the world to award winning standalone movies. The wider group covers features, television, games, and short form content from WBD brands such as HBO, Turner and Discovery as well as a variety of marketing and promotional materials.

The main role of the Specialist, Theatrical Ad Pub Localization is to support the creation and distribution of dubbed and subtitled version trailers, marketing & publicity content of WBD for Domestic (US/CAN), Latin America/Brazil (LATAM), and Asia/Pacific (APAC) markets. The role requires a strong understanding of different social media content types, theatrical formats and stakeholder requirements. The ability to plan, meet deadlines, and ensure quality work are essential. The job requires collaborating and coordinating across our WB AdPub team, WB home office teams, dubbing studios, local WB offices, 3rd party vendors and WBD management to ensure all projects are completed to our audiences, client’s and Warner Bros. high expectations. They must ensure localized material is delivered on time, provide daily and weekly reporting to key stakeholders and maintain the high standard of the original WBD. They are to make calculated decisions, troubleshoot issues and stay cool in a high-pressured environment. They should be prepared to assist the AdPub Manager in follow-ups with finishing and delivery schedules for the original creative assets. They are primarily responsible to ensure all records in our WBD systems are updated and contacts are onboarded within our systems.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Relationships & Communication:Maintains relationships with stakeholders, Regional Marketing & Distribution and key contacts for EMEA WB offices and licensees. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders providing expertise and support communicating clearly on all day-to-day operational activities.
  • Co-ordinating activities across WBD GCO, localization vendors and EMEA local offices.
  • Providing clear instructions with debut, localization, and security directives to local WB offices, dubbing studios and vendors for all our marketing content.
  • Reporting regularly on project statuses to key stakeholders and providing summaries of our worldwide trailer debuts at time of debut.
  • Managing the localization and distribution of specialized event and convention materials.

Localization & Distribution: Assists with planning and implementation of AdPub Localization efforts for Domestic (US/CAN), Latin America, Brazil, and Asia/Pacific marketing content:

  • Localization of theatrical content including online assets, in theatre materials / DCPs, conventions / special event materials and tracking all elements through to final delivery.
  • Supports AdPub Manager with project set up, communications, and creative & scheduling issues.
  • Delivery of reference videos, scripts, and audio masters to subtitling facilities, localization vendors, dubbing studios and WB staff. Includes creating reference materials in house where necessary, using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential material appropriately & securely.
  • Liaises with dubbing studios & territory dubbing managers regarding recording, mixing and delivery schedule of dubbed mixes.
  • Ensures all dubbed and subtitled localization content is delivered and tracked within the agreed timelines and at highest quality.
  • Creates and approves purchase orders to vendors and reconciles POs when required.
  • Maintains extensive tracking tools of all localized content created for online, theatrical, and event purposes.
  • Troubleshoots any issues that arise during localization/distribution of content.

Innovation & Development:Works with senior leadership to make recommendations to workflow improvements.

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • Functional experience in video post production, localization or similar marketing content servicing experience
  • Exhibits basic knowledge and application of common practices for the operations in servicing Ad Pub content and postproduction services.
  • Project management experience

Knowledge, Skills & Other Requirements:

  • Technically minded with a keen interest in new technologies
  • Exception English language skills
  • Additional language skills advantageous
  • Willingness to collaborate and share expertise to promote the growth of the team.

  • Flexibility and positive can-do approach that builds team spirit.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to handle pressure and be efficient when delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Adept with both Mac and PC operating systems, relevant office applications and editing software: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro/Media Encoder/Illustrator/Photoshop) is desired.
  • Ability to work well both as an individual and within a team with an outgoing nature and ability to show patience in stressful and fast-paced situations.
  • Navigation of content management systems.
  • Timely and clear communication.

Education, Training or Certification

Some College preferred with emphasis on technology support for film, digital marketing, or related area.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $53,406.00 - $99,183.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
