The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Artistic Integrity and Operations Specialist on the Fleet Entertainment Team reporting to the Sr. Manager, Theatrical Productions.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the Head of Artistic Integrity to ensure that all productions meet the required standards.
  • Schedules and supports the directorial team throughout the rehearsal and install process
  • Leads Pre-production meetings with all directors before rehearsals.
  • Schedules and attends all studio open runs and ensures that team members are prepared.
  • Work with the Head, Artistic Integrity & Operations on conducting cast orientations and debriefs. Will manage orientation and training processes for new Install Directors.
  • Supports the Head of Artistic Integrity in acting as an artistic liaison between shipboard captains, install directors, and shoreside team.
  • Assist Manager, Production Operation with necessary props that are needed for install.
  • Review rehearsal, install and EOV reports from all ships, providing feedback to shipboard teams as necessary and disseminating information for follow-up from necessary shoreside team members. Will notate and record patterns regarding repeated injury, equipment damage, etc.
  • Supports the Specialist, Theatrical Operations on the onboarding process following up with cast members on medical/visa, and can act as a backup for administrative tasks when needed.
  • Work with Manager, Theatrical Operations on install preparation (i.e. - leading install calls, preparing install schedules, etc.)
  • Work with Lead, Wardrobe Operations on installation preparation (i.e. - costume bibles, etc.)
  • Will conduct ship visits to ensure Artistic Integrity

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts / Theatre / Arts Administration or related field, or minimum three (3) years' experience in show directing or show creation with proven efficiency in the production process and mounting successful shows or entertainment events
  • Background in the Performing Arts with experience and/or knowledge of Performance. Experience or an understanding in directing and mounting production shows with understanding of production workflow
  • Excellent understanding of policies and procedures regarding work ethics, hiring and termination of personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate and interact with internal and external personnel at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Software: working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment with email, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and related printers and equipment
  • Must have good problem-solving skills and ability to manage last minute emergencies in a calm and organized manner
  • Able to work long hours and weekends when required. Able to travel if required. Travel Requirements: Position travels approximately 40% of the time on ships. This individual will work a minimum of 60% of time in the North Miami Production Studio and Port of Miami, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Shipboard experience preferred
