Position: Special Projects SW Verification Intern
Duration: 10 Weeks
Date: June 5 2023- August 12, 2023

The team you'll be part of

Mobile Networks

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

Special Project Verification Team

Our team focuses on the integration, verification, testing and demonstration of both LTE and 5G software capability and functionality in an end to end system configuration.  The performance is confirmed against entity and system level requirements and specifications. Additionally, our team is responsible for the design, setup and maintenance of the laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.

 

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for bachelor's or masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with an accredited school in US.

What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for energized, technically competent engineers "in the making" that are excited and motiviated to quickly grow, learn, and contributed in real ways to the success of our team, products, and projects.  

As part of our team, you will:

  • Analyze, design, develop and test products / services / improvements / bug resolution for integrated hardware / software 5G and LTE systems as per customers' requirements.
  • Apply and maintain quality standards. Participates in process and tools evolutions and improvements.
  • Support the design, build, and maintenance of the verification test lab and supporting tools and framework for that lab.
  • Participate in the automation and improvement of our test cases and techniques, including coding and scripting as well as exploring the application of AI and ML techniques

 

What is Nokia looking for from me

You have:

  • Competence in coding/scripting at least 1 programming language
  • Basic IP competence
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a strong desire to drive to results

 It would be nice if you also had:

  • 5G/Wireless communications
  • Competence in Python
  • Machine Learning Project/Class experience
  • Linux and linux administration
  • SW/HW Verification, validation, and debugging competence
  • Security Expertise(scans and interpretation of results
