Special Procedures Assistant - LVN

Reporting to the Operating Room Manager, this position assists the surgery department as requested by the OR staff and physicians. Duties include but are not limited to, transportation of patients, preparing operating rooms for the next patient by providing necessary equipment and supplies, assisting with patient positioning, surgical prep, coordinating daily patient work flow, turn over of surgical rooms between cases to maintain optimum efficiency between cases, cleaning of surgical rooms as necessary. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes necessary equipment essential for successful completion of the procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Current CPR certification required.

* California LVN license required.

* IV certification, as evidenced on primary source verification of LVN license required.
