Special Needs Caregiver

Overview:
We are seeking reliable and experienced adult and child sitters to provide exceptional care for individuals with Special Needs in our community. As a sitter you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of individuals under your care. If you have a passion for working with individuals with Special Needs and possess the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:
- Engage and interact in a positive and nurturing manner
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for to learn and grow
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including educational and recreational activities
- Prepare meals and snacks , ensuring they receive proper nutrition
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up toys and cleaning up after meals
- Follow parents' instructions regarding routines, schedules, and specific care instructions
- Monitor children's behavior and address any disciplinary issues in a calm and constructive manner

Requirements:
- 18 years + Previous experience is preferred
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals with Special Needs
- Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
- Familiarity with procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with parents/guardians
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
