Special Education Teacher
Calo Programs, a leading residential treatment center for preteens & teens impacted by developmental trauma and attachment issues, is urgently hiring full-time Special Education Teachers for our Lake Ozark, Missouri academic team.
Our ideal candidate maintains a Special Education teaching certification and has experience coordinating Individualized Education Plans. Approximately 1/6 of our students have IEPs when they enroll with us, but most of them certainly could qualify for an IEP with emotional disturbance.
What to Expect
Pay: $56,972 per year
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4 PM (M – F)

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher who can:
- Function as the primary contact for IEP caseload.
- Create engaging and appropriate lesson plans.
- Maintain appropriate communication with school districts.
- Work with students in small groups or on an individual basis to support IEP needs.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records and reports of students' progress and development.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21-years-old
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Hold and maintain a Special Education teaching certificate
- Ability to clear state and federal background checks
- Ability to work around animals. Nationally recognized for our relational treatment model and expert work in canine therapy, our team includes more than 40 Golden Retrievers who help students learn commitment, acceptance, security, and attunement.
