Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to high school students (9th-12th grades) following Future Ready and Occupational Course of Study (OCS) Pathways. The role involves a combination of inclusion (co-teaching) and resource (pull-out) settings, managing a caseload of approximately 20 students. Familiarity with the ECATS platform is a must, and the position requires a commitment to working from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

• Location: Wadesboro, NC
• Grade Levels: 9th-12th
• Teaching Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• Teaching Approach: Combination of inclusion (co-teaching) and resource (pull-out)
• Caseload: Approximately 20 students
• Platform Proficiency: Experience with ECATS platform required

Responsibilities:

• Implement and adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of high school students in Future Ready and OCS Pathways.
• Collaborate with general Education Teachers for inclusive (co-teaching) experiences in the classroom.
• Provide specialized instruction in a resource (pull-out) setting as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Utilize the ECATS platform effectively to track and document student performance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Collaborate with parents, support staff, and administrators to address individual student needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license for Special Education in the state of North Carolina.
• Experience working with high school students, particularly those in Future Ready and OCS Pathways.
• Familiarity with the ECATS platform for tracking and reporting student progress.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies based on individual student needs.
