Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
As a Security, Privacy, Audit, Risk, and Compliance Analyst in the Division of Information Technology (DIT) at the University of Maryland, you will work alongside experienced professionals in supporting the University's research and academic missions, including safeguarding UMD's data, operations, and integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges related to security, privacy, risk management, and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors degree required.
Experience:
1-3 years experience in roles related to security, privacy, audit, risk analysis, compliance, or a combination of these
Knowledge , Skills and Abilities:
  • Foundational understanding of global privacy regulations, security practices, risk management methodologies, and assessment practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to multiple audiences, including the researchers and research teams

Preferences:

  • Previous experience in a higher education environment
  • Direct experience supporting researchers
  • Public speaking experience
  • Relevant certifications (CIPP/CIPM/CISSP/etc)

Salary range $80,000-$95,000
