Part Time Spanish Instructor

Unique part time teaching opportunities working with elementary, middle, or high school aged students in a one-to-one setting. All lesson plans have been prepared and individualized for our students, there is no grading outside of the classroom, and very little administrative work required. If you enjoy teaching and want to focus on helping the students without the bureaucracy this could be the right opportunity for you! We are currently in need of instructors with backgrounds in teaching Spanish. No teaching certification needed but real world experience in your field or prior experience teaching/tutoring one-to-one is preferred.


About Brightmont

The Brightmont Academy is a group of accredited private schools offering one-to-one instruction for elementary, middle, and high school aged students. We also offer tutoring and skill-building to students. Founded in 1999, we have helped over 4,000 students experience success, and have 15 campuses in the states of Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Washington.

Our customized one-teacher-to-one-student approach provides an opportunity to meet each student’s learning style within an accredited curricula program making a real difference one student, one class at a time. Our instructors are trained to teach with a gradual release approach that allows them to meet students where they are and gently lead students to their fullest potential.

Students attend Brightmont Academy campuses for multiple reasons including; anxiety, learning challenges, attention deficits, emotional or health concerns, or other individual special needs. Our students look to our instructors for better learning strategies needed for school and career success.



Essential Instructor responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a learning relationship that encourages student growth by offering positive, effective ways to encourage and motivate each student

  • Demonstrate self-initiative creative thinking to make instruction fun and engaging

  • Be “part of the team” and create an organizational culture that promotes learning

  • Demonstrate subject area expertise

  • Respect student confidentiality at all times

  • Other duties as needed

Essential experiences and skills:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s degree; preferred master’s degree

  • Demonstrates proficiency of technology resources, and curricula

    • Experience using G-Suite and Chromebooks preferred

  • Positive professional communication skills; written, verbal, and non-verbal

  • Able to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background screening

Teaching in-person at the campus is required. The particular job duties of this position may change based upon the needs of Brightmont Academy. Additional administrative duties may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor. Brightmont Academy reserves the right to amend and change the responsibilities to meet its operational needs.
